Hi Gary! Carol Ann Simpson here. I was just reading your memoir. Very Interesting stuff. Is then when you got the geneology Bug? Anyway I noticed a typo on when you left to go up north. It says you left on Dec 1856. You are old.lol

Welcome aboard Carol

Thanks for letting me know about that typo. I have corrected it. Nevertheless however, even so, I am indeed old! I turned 70 just before Christmas.

As for the genealogy bug, I got that at a very young age when I heard my Grampa CONRAD talking about his days as a deep-sea diver. That was in the days of sailing ships, and his work took him to far off places all over the world.
