My experiance with mistakes of names.

Post by kelfid » Thu Mar 18, 2010 3:11 pm

Hi Gary, I noticed your comment under related sir names about the mistakes that are made with names. I am experiencing a problem as such.I have sent for my long form birth certificate about three times in my life and it was always correct, until this last one.Vital statistic here in B.C sent it with my mothers name as Leona Mary Chartrand but her name is Leona Marie Eva Chartrand so I called them about this. They sent me a copy of my registration of birth and it did read Leona Mary Chartrand and if I want this fixed I would have to pay for it. It just blows me away that all the other times I sent for a long form it was as I requested it- Leona Marie Eva Chartrand- and now they want me to pay for what is more than likely their mistake. This also must be how Fidler with two ds came about.

Hi Kelly
Your maternal grandfather, Ephram/Ephrem CHARTRAND was born Jul 28, 1900, probably in the Pine Creek Settlement north of Camperville, MB. On Dec 31, 1924, in Camperville, Ephrem married Alvina (Melvina) ST GODARD/ GODDARD.
