Pelagie MORIN (1867-1922)

Post by gnstill » Mon Oct 26, 2009 8:47 am

Thanks Jules

Another problem from the Eman Family Tree on ancestry.ca. Eman has Joseph’s wife Pelagie born 1867 in SK, daughter of Marie Rouge MORIN b-1839 & Peter LINKLATER b-1828? He has Pelagie died Apr 4, 1922 in Meadow Lake.

You say Pelagie was the daughter of Marie MORIN (Cyprien's sister) and Hugh LINKLATER, a Metis of Scottish ancestry.

Sorry, you are correct....I noticed the mistake I made after I sent it off. Peter Linklater and Marie Morin is accurate. Hugh Linklater was actually the father of Peter Linklater :D .

....and yes, Pelagie Linklater was the daughter of Marie Morin and Peter Linklater. Marie Morin and Cyprien Morin were two children of Antoine Morin and Marguerite Boucher, meaning Joseph Morin and Pelagie Linklater were first cousins.

Hi there! I was just wondering if the dates for Pelagie's birth and death are correct as well?

Unless someone can tell us otherwise I guess we have to assume Eman's information is correct.
